Shape & Season, by South View Studios. Last updated October 6, 2026.

Shape & Season is a free web app that works out your body shape and color season and dresses an illustrated figure drawn to your measurements. We built it to need as little of your information as possible.

The short version

• Your measurements, coloring and outfit choices are saved in your browser on your device.
• Signing in is optional. If you sign in, your settings are stored with your account so they sync between devices.
• No ads. No advertising or analytics trackers in the app. We never sell your data.

What the app stores on your device

The app saves your settings in your browser's local storage on this device: your measurements, build, coloring and undertone answers, outfit, hair and makeup choices, and which tab and cards you had open. This stays in your browser and is not sent to us unless you sign in.

If you sign in

Sign-in is optional and uses Sign in with Apple or Google, through Google Firebase Authentication. Firebase receives what Apple or Google share for sign-in, such as your name if you choose to share it, your email address (or an Apple private relay address) and an account identifier. Firebase keeps you signed in by storing a sign-in token in your browser.

Once you are signed in, your app settings (the same items listed above) are stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account, so they appear on your other devices. Only your signed-in account can read or change them. Firebase is a Google service; see Google's privacy policy for how Google processes this data on our behalf.

Shopping links

The shopping list includes "Find it" links that open a product search on a third-party site (Google Shopping) in a new tab. The search terms describe a garment and color, not you. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Fonts and sign-in code

The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, and the app loads Google's Firebase code when it opens so that sign-in is ready if you want it. Both mean your browser requests files from Google's servers. Nothing is stored in an account unless you sign in.

Support messages

If you write to us through the support form, we receive what you type, plus your email address if you give it, so we can reply. Forms are handled by our web host, Netlify.

What we do not do

• We do not show ads or use advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
• We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it except with the services named above that run the app.
• We do not use your measurements or coloring for anything other than showing you your results.

Deleting your data

• On your device: clear this site's data (cookies and site data, or local storage) in your browser settings.
• In your account: sign out in the app, then send us a message through the support form asking us to delete your account. We will delete your stored settings and your sign-in record.

Children

Shape & Season is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
