Mothbound privacy

Mothbound collects no personal data. The short version: everything stays on your device, and the only outside service involved is Apple's App Store, for optional purchases.

What we collect

Nothing. Mothbound has no accounts, no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and no tracking. We do not sell or share data, because we do not have any.

Where your progress lives

Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, and they are not synced to other devices. Deleting the app deletes them.

Diagnostics

Mothbound can keep optional diagnostic information on your device to help troubleshoot problems. It never leaves your device.

Purchases

Premium books and optional Ink hint packs are purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and provides your receipts. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.

Children

Mothbound does not collect data from anyone, including children, and does not direct any data collection at children. There are no ads.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
