Privacy Policy

PickKeepers is a shared wheel, draw, raffle and team picker you can use with no account. We built it to collect as little as possible. This page explains exactly what that means.

What a broadcast board stores

When you broadcast a board, the only thing saved is the board's live state: the mode you picked (Wheel, Draw, Raffle, or Teams), the entry names and weights you typed or pasted, the board name and message line if you typed one, the chosen display theme, the seed and result of each pick, and a random code that identifies the board. This is stored on our hosting provider's database (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore) so that every screen that opens the same link or code sees the same live result.

A board is identified only by its random code. Anyone with the link or code can view it, and, if self-entry is turned on, can join it. Names typed or self-entered are visible to anyone with the code, so please use first names or nicknames rather than full names, and don't put anything private or personal into a board name, message, or entry name.

Self-entry (participants)

When self-entry is turned on and someone joins a board with the code, we store only the display name they type and a random device identifier for that browser or app install, so the board can tell their entry apart from others. We don't ask for an email, phone number, or any other contact detail from a participant. This information is deleted along with the board.

Logo upload (PickKeepers Pro)

If you add a logo to a Pro board, it's stored alongside that board's data, keyed to the same random code, so every screen showing your board can display it. It is not linked to your identity, just to the code.

On your device

PickKeepers keeps your current board, your saved entry lists, and your display and sound preferences in local storage on your device so the app picks up where you left off. This never leaves your device, and clearing your app data or browser storage removes it.

Optional anonymous analytics

PickKeepers may use Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used, for example, that a board was created or a broadcast began. These events are anonymous and identify only the event name, never a board code, entry name, or anything you typed. This can be used to improve the app; it is never sold.

In-App Purchase

PickKeepers Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.

What we don't do

• We don't use advertising or third-party ad/tracking SDKs.
• We don't create user profiles or fingerprint your device.
• We don't sell, rent, or share data with advertisers.

Data retention

Broadcast boards are meant to be temporary. We may periodically clean up old, inactive boards, which removes the board's entries and any self-entered participant records with it. Because boards hold no personal information beyond the display names people choose and are keyed only by a random code, there's nothing further tied to anyone's identity to remove.

Children

PickKeepers is built to be safe for classroom use: use first names or nicknames only, there are no accounts for participants, and nothing beyond a display name is ever collected from anyone who joins with a code. PickKeepers does not knowingly collect personal information beyond that from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
