Make it easy to join in
Bringing food should be optional, so say so at the top. Neighbors who are new, busy or short on time are welcome to come empty-handed, and that one line makes the evening feel like an invitation instead of an assignment. Then build the list by category with a count, not dish by dish. Four mains, seven sides, four desserts, three drinks and one supplies line is easy to read at a glance, and it fills faster, because a neighbor can claim a side without worrying that someone else is bringing the same thing. The examples are only ideas.
Put the schedule in the details: welcome, buffet opens, movie seating, movie after dark. Ask neighbors to bring their own chairs and blankets, and add a rain plan if you are outdoors. Share the link a week ahead on the street group, and put a flyer with the QR code on a few porches for the neighbors who are not online. A custom question about allergies helps the buffet, and a reminder the day before brings in the people who forgot.
