Questions
Quick answers
Do guests need an account?
No. A guest opens the link, types a name and taps Bring this. An email address is optional, and only used if they want a confirmation or a reminder. You do not need an account either: you get a private organizer link when you create the sheet.
Do you show ads?
Never, on any sheet, on any plan. The only promotion is one quiet line at the bottom of a sheet that says it was made with Potlucky and links to a new sheet.
What happens to my sheet after the event?
Free sheets stay readable for 60 days after the event, then are archived as read-only and deleted after one year. You can delete a sheet yourself at any time, and guests can delete their own sign-up from their confirmation link. Pro and Org will keep sheets longer when they arrive in December 2026.
Can I hide names?
Yes, and it is free. With names hidden, the sheet shows counts such as 3 of 4 filled, and only you see who signed up. Names that are shown appear as a first name and last initial, like Tom B.
Is it safe for a classroom?
Potlucky is built for adults: parents sign up, not children. A name is the only thing we require, there are no ads or trackers on sheets, and the organizer-only roster keeps names off the public page. Read the privacy page for the details.
Can I collect money?
Not at launch. Potlucky is for signing up, not for payments, so keep collecting money the way you do now.
Is there an app?
No app to download. Potlucky is a web page that works on any phone, tablet or computer, and you can add it to your home screen if you like.
