Rotation sheet
Class snack sign-up sheet that repeats every week
Pick the weekday and the term. Families claim a week, and each reminder goes only to that week's family.
Free. No ads, no account, one link to share.
Set it once for the whole term
Snack duty is a rotation, not an event. Choose the weekday, the first and last dates, and how many families you want each week (usually one). Skip the weeks with no school, such as holidays and testing days, so the list does not count them as gaps. A term from late August to mid December is about fifteen weeks.
Write the snack guidelines at the top where families will see them: nut-free, shareable, store-bought is fine, enough for the class plus a few extras. Add a custom question about allergies in what they are bringing. Families claim the week that suits them, and the sheet shows the gaps in warning color so you can nudge the last few. When a family cannot make their week, they can release it from their confirmation link and it opens up again, instead of you rebuilding a spreadsheet. Reminders go to the family whose week is coming, not to the whole class.
What this template starts with
A starter list you can rename, resize or delete line by line. Nothing is locked.
The sheet starts with
- One date for every school week in your range (skip any you choose)
- One family per week, or as many as you set
- A question: "What are you bringing, and any allergy notes?"
- Snack guidelines in the description
- Reminder for each family before their week
Quick answers
Can I skip holidays and half days?
Yes. When you set up the rotation, tap any date on the calendar to skip it. Dates you skip never show as gaps.
What if a family needs to swap their week?
They can release it from their confirmation link, and the open week shows up again so another family can take it.
