Try a formula with live numbers and send it to the calculator
Open a formula card, change the values, and tap Calculate to put the expression on your calculator.
- Open the reference library and search for a formula, for example "quadratic" or "distance".
- Tap the card. Under Values, type numbers in the boxes or drag the sliders. The formulas on the right show their results straight away, and some cards draw a small graph that moves with your numbers.
- Read "What it means" under the picture for a short explanation of the idea.
- Tap Show keys on a formula to see the exact keys to press. Choose the Classic, Natural or RPN tab to match your calculator.
- Tap Calculate. The library closes and the expression, filled in with your values, is typed into the calculator. If another model is needed, the app switches to it first.
- Press the equals or enter key on the calculator to see the answer there.
Tips
- If a result says "no real value" (for example a negative number under a square root), Calculate is switched off for that formula.
- Formulas that use sin, cos or tan assume radians for the key presses. Set the calculator to RADIAN mode first.
- During exam practice the library may be hidden.
