49Take turns on one screen, or play face to face across it. Say It! gets up to eight people shouting guesses from every row.
49A built-in opponent with four levels: Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert, so the only kid in the back seat still has someone to beat.
Play Dots & Boxes against Robo now61 games, one app
Filter by how you're playing and how many of you there are, then tap any game to see how it plays.
No game fits all of that. Try fewer filters.
All-new pixel art
All 61 games are drawn in detailed 16-bit pixel art, full of little life: bunnies in the carrot patch, a torchlit dungeon, a ship in a storm, a mini golf windmill. On iPad, every scene fills the whole screen.
How nearby play works
Two to four iPhones or iPads. Wi-Fi just needs to be switched on, not connected to anything.
They find each other on their own in a couple of seconds, the same way AirDrop finds a nearby phone. Auto-connect can be switched off in Settings.
Tap Start and everyone jumps in together. Two-player games can also connect over Bluetooth with Wi-Fi off.

Built for the whole trip

Tap Who's playing? and the list shows only the games for two, three or four of you, or just you against Robo. Every game also says at a glance whether it needs one phone or a phone each.

Road Sign Bingo, the License Plate Game and I Spy are played by looking out the window, not down at a screen. The whole car plays out loud, and one phone keeps score.

Pick 3, 5 or 7 games. RoadPlay shuffles a playlist, keeps a running scoreboard, and crowns a champion by name at the end.

37 stickers earned just by playing, plus a new challenge against Robo every day to build a streak.

Every match and every Cup lands in your trip history, ready to turn into one card you can share. Nothing leaves your phone unless you share it.

Fold an iPhone Duo into an L and play Ramp Roll with the hinge as the ramp. On iPad, RoadPlay resizes live in Split View and Stage Manager.

Nearby play never touches the internet. Far away play travels over Apple's SharePlay, end-to-end encrypted, with no RoadPlay servers in between. We count which games get played and where people give up, as anonymous totals with no name, account or device ID, so we can make the games better. You can switch it off in your profile. No ad networks, no sign-in. We never see your games. Only buying or restoring Road Pass and sending those totals need a connection. Read the privacy policy.
Questions
No. Phones connect directly to each other, phone to phone, over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth radios. There is no server, no router and no data plan involved, so it works the same in a canyon, on a plane or in a cabin with no bars.
For games on everyone's own phone, yes: each iPhone or iPad needs RoadPlay, which is a free download. If one phone in the car has Road Pass, everyone connected to it plays the Road Pass games free. Games on one phone or against Robo need just one device.
No. RoadPlay is made for iPhone and iPad, including iPhone Duo and iPad windows, and nearby play works between any mix of the two.
One to eight. Up to four phones connect for nearby games, most one-phone games take two to four players, and Say It! takes up to eight.
18 games are free forever, including the four Out the Window games, the classic board games and Pong. Every other game has a free trip so you can try it, and there's a free Game of the Day. Road Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks all 61 games, the Road Trip Cup and trip history.
The Out the Window games are played out loud: the driver calls out what they spot and a passenger taps. Nobody at the wheel ever needs to look at a screen.
RoadPlay has no ads, no chat, no accounts and collects no personal information. Games only connect to phones in the same car, never to strangers online. To play with family far away, invite them with Play Far Away over FaceTime (SharePlay).
