Trident aims to work for everyone, including students who use screen readers, keyboards, switch control, zoom or high-contrast settings.

  1. Spoken names: every key and control has a spoken name, such as "square root", "negative", "second function" or "answer". Screen readers announce the result when you finish a calculation.
  2. Key tooltips: hover over a calculator key for about half a second, or press and hold it on a touch screen, to see what each layer of that key does (its main function and its second or alpha function).
  3. Keyboard: type on a physical keyboard instead of tapping keys. Focus is always visible. See the keyboard shortcuts guide.
  4. Contrast: open Settings and choose the High Contrast skin. Under App appearance choose Light, Dark or System.
  5. Size: the app follows browser zoom and your system text size.
  6. Language: choose from 15 languages in Settings. Arabic uses a right-to-left layout.
  7. There are no time limits, except the optional exam practice timer that you start yourself.
