FAQ
Questions, answered.
The free week, the Table Pass, nearby play and privacy. Still stuck? Write to us.
Is Shuffle Club free?
Yes, to download. Hearts, Spades, Gin Rummy, Euchre and Cribbage are free forever. Everything else opens with the Table Pass, a single one-time purchase. There is no subscription.
How does the free week work?
Tap "Start your free week" and every game, house rule and table is unlocked for 7 days. It costs nothing and ends by itself, so there is nothing to cancel. The five free games stay free afterward.
What is the Table Pass?
A one-time purchase that unlocks all 29 games, every house rule and every table for good. It is not a subscription and never renews. If you change phones, use Restore Purchases in Settings.
Does the Table Pass work with Family Sharing?
Yes. Family Sharing is on, so everyone in your family group can use the Table Pass on their own devices.
How does nearby play work?
The seven trick-taking games (Hearts, Spades, Euchre, Whist, Bid Whist, Pinochle and Up and Down the River) can be played by friends in the same room, each on their own iPhone or iPad. One person hosts and the others join over your local Wi-Fi. Companions fill any empty seats. You do not need the internet or an account. The first time, allow Local Network access when asked.
Can I play with friends who are far away?
Not in version 1.0. Nearby play needs everyone on the same Wi-Fi.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every game works without an internet connection against companions, and nearby play uses your local network only.
Who are the companions?
Companions are the computer players who fill empty seats: a cast of 16 characters with their own faces and table manners. Each can play at Easy, Standard or Expert. Expert thinks harder but never peeks at your cards.
I have never played some of these games. Can I learn?
Every game has a short example round: a companion plays a hand while plain captions explain each move. There is also a How to Play page for every game and optional hints while you play.
What data does Shuffle Club collect?
None. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no accounts and no servers. Your settings and saved games stay on your device.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, in portrait and landscape.
What accessibility options are there?
Large cards and tiles, text size choices and an easy-read font, a high contrast option, four-color suits, dark mode, and reduce motion (it also follows the system setting). There are no timers. We are still testing VoiceOver and the largest text sizes and will say so here once they are verified.
