Make a table of values
List x and f(x) side by side for a function, starting wherever you like.
A table lists many (x, y) pairs for your function at once. Choose where it starts and the step between rows.
The example is f(x) = x² − 4 from x = -3 upward.

Tips
- A table is the quickest way to see where values change sign, which tells you where a zero is.
- An ERROR in a row means the function is not defined at that x, for example 1 ÷ x at x = 0.
