Share a class setup with a link or QR code
Teachers can create a link or QR code that opens Trident on the right model, with a graph ready and optional exam practice. No accounts needed.
A class setup link carries the settings inside the link itself. Nothing is uploaded, and students do not need an account.
- Open Settings and find For teachers. Next to Class setup link tap Create.
- Choose the Model. Add an optional Name, for example "Period 3: quadratics".
- To include a graph, turn on "Include a graph". Start from an example, or choose the Graph type (Function, Parametric or Polar), type the functions, set the Window and the angle unit (Radians or Degrees).
- To add exam practice, pick a preset under Exam practice and set a timer. The default is None.
- Tap Copy link to paste it into your class page or message. Tap Share link on a device that supports sharing. Or tap "Show QR on projector" for a big code students can scan.
- Students open the link or scan the code. They see "Class setup from your teacher" with the calculator, graph and exam settings listed, and tap Load setup (or Not now).
Tips
- Loading a graph replaces the current Y= list on the student's calculator. Their saved work stays on their device.
- Verified teachers get Pro free. In For teachers use "I'm a teacher", then "Get verified", and sign in with your school email address. Requests are checked by hand.
- The For teachers area also has a link to Trident for schools, with deployment and privacy details.
