Volume of a sphere

Use V = (4/3)πr³ for a sphere with radius 6.

Open in Trident

The volume of a sphere is four thirds times π times the radius cubed. With r = 6: V = (4/3) × π × 216 = 288π, about 904.78.

  1. Type 4 ÷ 3 × π × 6^3. Press 2nd and ^ for π, and the ^ key for the power.

  1. Make the fraction 4 over 3 with the fraction key, then move out of it with the right arrow.

Start on the main screen: There is no menu to leave. Press the back arrow to clear a number you are typing, or CLx (g then back arrow) to clear the X register.

  1. Cube 6: key in 6 and press ENTER twice, square the top copy with g then x², and multiply. This gives 216.
