Battle Creatures — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 20 June 2026  ·  Last updated: 11 October 2026

Battle Creatures (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a creature‑collecting battle game. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We built the app to collect as little as possible: your game progress lives on your device, and we do not use any third‑party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs. We keep a small amount of anonymous, aggregate usage information (described below) so we can see which parts of the game are fun and where new players get stuck.

The short version

1. Information the app handles

Stored on your device only (not sent to us)

Anonymous usage information

To improve the game, the app sends a few anonymous numbers to our own Firebase project, tied only to the random anonymous ID described above (never your name, email, contacts, or location): how long the app is open, your device type and app version, how far you get through the first steps of the game, and simple counts such as which game modes and creatures are played and which screens are opened. This information is not shared with anyone, is not used for advertising, and cannot be read from inside the app. To have it removed, use the contact form below.

In‑app purchases

Real‑money purchases (currency packs, the Battle Pass, and the Starter Bundle) are processed by Apple In‑App Purchase, with RevenueCat as our purchase‑management provider. To deliver, validate, and restore your purchases, these services process:

DataPurpose
Purchase history / transaction receiptsDeliver purchased items, prevent double‑charging, and let you restore non‑consumable purchases (Battle Pass, Starter Bundle).
A RevenueCat‑assigned anonymous app‑user identifier (and, if you sign in to Game Center, your Game Center player ID used as an alias)Associate your purchases with your account so they restore on a new device.

We do not receive your credit‑card number or full payment details — Apple handles payment. See Apple’s and RevenueCat’s policies linked below.

Optional sign-in and cloud save

You can sign in with Apple or Google from the profile screen. This is optional; the game works the same without it. When you sign in, Apple or Google gives our game server (Google Firebase) a sign-in identifier and, depending on what you allow, your email address and name. We use them only to recognize your account and show which account is signed in. We never see your Apple or Google password.

Signed in, the app also saves a copy of your main trainer’s game progress (creatures, currencies, levels, trophies, season and purchase records, and settings) to our server so it can be loaded on your other devices. It is private to your account: other players cannot read it. If two devices have different progress, the app asks which to keep and stores the other as a backup copy. You can delete the cloud copy and your sign-in at any time by deleting your account in the app (profile icon on Home, then Delete Account).

Game Center

If you use Game Center features (leaderboards/achievements), Apple provides a Game Center player ID. We use it to record scores/achievements and, as noted above, to help restore your purchases across your devices. Game Center is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Online multiplayer (optional “Duel / Multiplayer”)

If you choose to play an online match, the app uses Google Firebase (Firestore) to set up the game and a direct WebRTC connection to play it:

You can avoid all of the above by simply not starting an online match — the rest of the game (including “Local vs bots”) works fully offline.

Lobby chat and player safety

Lobbies and online matches have a quick chat. By default you can send only preset messages (short, pre-written phrases); typed messages are turned off. A message goes through our server (Google Firebase) to the other players in the same lobby, together with your in-game name and anonymous ID. Messages are checked automatically for harmful content before they are delivered, and delivered messages are deleted from our servers after 24 hours.

You can mute, block or report any player from the chat. When you report a player, the recent messages in question are kept as encrypted evidence for 90 days so a person can review them; the report record (without message text) is kept for one year, and staff access to it is logged for two years. Reports are never shown to the player you reported.

New-version notice

On iPhone and iPad the app occasionally asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service (itunes.apple.com) whether a newer version exists, so it can show a “New version available” note you can dismiss. The request contains only the app’s App Store ID and your App Store country; it does not include your name, ID or any game data.
