Set the graph window
Choose the x and y ranges that the graph screen shows.
The window is the part of the plane you can see. Xmin and Xmax are the left and right edges. Ymin and Ymax are the bottom and top. The scale numbers set the spacing of the tick marks.
Here the window is changed to x from -5 to 5 and y from -6 to 6, which shows y = x² − 4 nicely.

Start on the main screen: Press 2nd then mode (QUIT) to get back to the home screen. Pressing clear on a menu also backs out of it.
Enter the function first: y=, then X² − 4.

Start on the main screen: Press MENU then 1 to open Run-Matrix, the main calculation screen. Press EXIT to back out of a bar or screen, and SHIFT then EXIT (QUIT) to return to the app start.
In the Graph app, enter X² − 4.

Tips
- Xmin must be smaller than Xmax, and Ymin smaller than Ymax. Otherwise you get a range or window error.
- Pick a scale that gives about 10 tick marks across, so the axes are easy to read.
