Reuse the last answer
Carry the previous result into your next calculation without retyping it.
Most calculators keep your last result in a memory called Ans. Start a new line with an operator like + or × and the calculator puts Ans in front for you.

Start on the main screen: Press 2nd then mode (QUIT) to get back to the home screen. Pressing clear on a menu also backs out of it.
Work out 6 × 7 and press enter.

Start on the main screen: There is no menu to leave. Press the back arrow to clear a number you are typing, or CLx (g then back arrow) to clear the X register.
RPN keeps the last result in the display already. Key in 6, ENTER, 7 and ×.

- Ans is replaced every time you get a new result.
