Store a number in a variable
Save a value under a letter so you can use it again in later calculations.
A variable is a named memory. Store 5 in A, and from then on typing A gives you 5. Change A and every calculation that uses it changes too.

Start on the main screen: Press 2nd then mode (QUIT) to get back to the home screen. Pressing clear on a menu also backs out of it.
Type 5, press the sto→ key, then the alpha key and the A key (on the MATH key). Press enter.

Natural Color Graphing
Start on the main screen: Press MENU then 1 to open Run-Matrix, the main calculation screen. Press EXIT to back out of a bar or screen, and SHIFT then EXIT (QUIT) to return to the app start.
Type 5, press the → key, then ALPHA and the key marked A (the X,θ,T key). Press EXE.

Start on the main screen: Press home to open the Home menu (Calculator, Graphs, Settings, and more). Choose Calculator, or press esc to go back to the calculation page.
Type 5, press ctrl and the var key (its store arrow), then type the letter a. Press enter.

Start on the main screen: There is no menu to leave. Press the back arrow to clear a number you are typing, or CLx (g then back arrow) to clear the X register.
Key in 5 and press STO 1 to save it in register 1.

Tips
- Storing over a variable replaces its old value. Clear variables when you start a new problem.
