Resetting the calculator, number range and precision, display limits and what is not included.

16.1Reset the calculator#

Press 2NDRESET+/- (RESET). The display asks RST ?. Press ENTER to erase all settings, TVM values, worksheets and memories and return to the start state. Press anything else to cancel.

Reset and check a memory

  1. Store 5 in M1, reset, confirm, and recall M1.

Cancel a reset

  1. Press CE/C instead of ENTER: nothing is erased.

16.2Number range and precision#

  • You can type up to 10 digits in one number.
  • Calculations use decimal arithmetic with extra digits, so results show no binary rounding errors.
  • Values of 1E100 or more give Error 1.
  • Large results switch to scientific notation (for example 1.23E11).
  • The decimals setting changes only the display; ROUND rounds the stored number.
  • Cash flows: up to 32. Statistics data: up to 50 points.
